The in-Canada collaboration network

Researchers with a Canadian-affiliated authorship on a frame work, connected only where BOTH sides of a shared byline were Canadian-affiliated. The overview shows the strongest ties in the frame; search a researcher to see their neighborhood.

1,319,464 researchers with a Canadian-affiliated authorship · 8,496,637 Canada-only collaboration ties · author layer: OpenAlex release 2026-06-26

Click a node, or search a researcher, to see their in-Canada neighborhood. Node size is Canadian-affiliated output; edge thickness is tie strength.
Nodes are researchers with at least one Canadian-affiliated authorship on a frame work; being Canadian-affiliated is a property of the authorship, not the person. An edge exists only where BOTH authorships on the shared work were Canadian-affiliated. Tie strength uses fractional counting: each shared work contributes 1/(number of authors minus 1), so one huge consortium byline does not outrank years of small-team work. Works with more than 50 Canadian-affiliated authorships are excluded from edges (1,968 works); they remain in search, bylines and every count. International collaborators are invisible here BY DESIGN: this page maps the in-Canada network, and the cohort builder is where every work, whoever wrote it, is counted.
