Les tendances et les enjeux stratégiques, auxquels l’entreprise doit faire face, émanent avant tout de la complexité de l’environnement qui se manifeste dans l’incertitude et l’ambiguïté. Dans cette perspective, le défi des dirigeants de l’entreprise consiste à être en mesure de cerner et d’appréhender cette complexité, dans le but de mieux la gérer par la suite. L’un des leviers permettant de gérer cette complexité est l’intelligence économique. En l’absence de modèles pertinents capables de soutenir les décideurs dans un tel défi, nous proposons dans ce papier d’éclairer ces articulations à travers une mise en avant du rôle de l’intelligence économique comme un processus de création des connaissances. Notre recherche est divisée en quatre parties. La première partie définit l’intelligence économique en tant que champ de recherche promoteur en management stratégique. La deuxième présente un cadre conceptuel de la démarche d’intelligence économique, la troisième vise à élaborer un modèle de la création des connaissances, et enfin dans la quatrième, nous présentons les résultats de notre étude empirique.
