Neste artigo, questiona-se o papel até então não indagado do ódio como paradigma hegemônico para entender a violência e se organizar contra ela em nível global. Embora tenhamos à disposição uma gama de perspectivas analíticas – desde os estudos da afetividade até o feminismo e a homonormatividade – para compreender as figurações dominantes de amor queer, bem como os coletivos multiculturais neoliberais e os cenários carcerários que eles viabilizam, o ódio ainda não foi objeto de escrutínio semelhante. Usando uma lente transnacional para documentar a chegada do discurso do crime de ódio/violência na Alemanha, onde são recentes discursos como Hassgewalt,que atribuem a violência ao ódio, defendo que é arriscado organizar-se em torno de um diagnóstico de ódio, visto que o ódio já está associado a corpos racializados. Ao mapear as figurações de violência, homofobia e crime em uma série de textos midiáticos, ativistas e políticos, afirmo que o drama dos amantes queer e o Outro odioso aproximou-se de discursos mais amplos sobre o crime, os quais são extremamente racializados e globalizados. Os dois pânicos morais dividem o palco no centro gentrificado das cidades, um perfil psíquico, um arsenal de técnicas de punição e reforma, bem como um horizonte e uma orientação biológica e geopolítica voltados para corpos e espaços degenerados que são descartáveis e ao mesmo tempo lugares de onde se extraem valores. Isso tem implicações para além das linguagens que escolhemos usar. Neste artigo, preconizase um imaginário abolicionista que vai além da prisão e se estende a lugares institucionais e a outros mais frequentemente considerados solidários e benévolos, inclusive as comunidades que nós próprios queremos construir.
