Résumé Selon l’observation la plus importante de l’expérience liée à l’implantation des systèmes ERP depuis les cinq dernières années, ces systèmes modifient profondément la façon de concevoir, de déployer et de faire fonctionner une organisation. La réussite d’un projet ERP est donc associée à la «capacité à changer» d’une organisation. Cette capacité est rattachée à l’appropriation de la solution techno-organisationnelle ERP aux niveaux stratégique, fonctionnel et opératoire de l’entreprise. L’appropriation stratégique du projet ERP concerne la capacité des dirigeants à comprendre et à intégrer le potentiel de la technologie ERP dans le déploiement d’un modèle d’affaires, d’un mode de fonctionnement et d’une offre de service renouvelés. L’appropriation fonctionnelle touche la capacité de l’organisation à reconceptualiser ses processus d’affaires pour tenir compte de ce potentiel tout en préservant l’intégrité des processus à valeur ajoutée. Enfin, l’appropriation opératoire a trait à la capacité de l’organisation à tenir compte des enjeux humains. La solution d’affaires ERP pose donc un ensemble de défis aux gestionnaires.
