Abstract
Ministrar aulas expositivas no ensino tradicional, que enfatiza o poder do professor sobre o estudante, é um relacionamento mestre-aprendiz poderoso, mas quando o objetivo é o pensamento crítico ou a resolução de problemas, tanto professores quanto alunos devem modificar seus papéis e responsabilidades tradicionais. Uma das várias competências de um egresso de Engenharia de Computação é a capacidade de resolução de problemas estimulada com a produção de programas executáveis corretos e com boas práticas de programação obtidas na disciplina de Projeto e Análise de Algoritmos. Porém, a disciplina é considerada uma das mais difíceis e seu conteúdo possui uma complexidade de análise diferenciada. O uso de Gamificação busca intensificar e incentivar o engajamento dos discentes na disciplina, sendo que a escolha de uma boa dinâmica, mecânica e componentes do jogo a ser escolhido é de fundamental importância. Neste artigo é feito um relato da experiência da gamificação da disciplina Projeto e Análise de Algoritmos da Universidade XYZ.
