A expressao identidade migrante, citada no titulo de nossa comunicacao, deve ser entendida dentro do contexto da chamada escrita migrante, que designa a producao de autores estrangeiros radicados na provincia francofona de Quebec, no Canada, e que utilizam o frances em suas obras. Esses neo-quebequenses, como sao denominados, sao ora emigrantes, ora exilados, que vivem em sua maioria em Montreal, metropole aberta a todos os pertencimentos identitarios, cidade sonhada do trans. Com efeito, Montreal, como uma pequena Nova York, abriga comunidades das mais diversas origens: chinesa, latina (entendase latino-americana), italiana, judaica, haitiana, portuguesa [...]. Nao se pode esquecer que se trata de uma cidade cindida em duas, onde se encontram regioes majoritariamente francofonas e outras, com uma grande concentracao de anglofonos. Segundo Euridice Figueiredo, estudiosa da obra de Kokis no Brasil: o efeito corrosivo dessa literatura que se convencionou chamar de migrante ainda esta para ser elaborado, digerido e metabolizado. Escritores como Emile Ollivier, Sergio Kokis, Stanley Pean, Marco Micone, e Dany Lafferiere recriam, atraves de suas ficcoes, memorias de seus paises de origem, quica muito mais sonhadas do que propriamente vividas. Vozes dissonantes vindas de varias partes do globo se inserem agora na literatura do Quebec, criando um fenomeno de transculturacao jamais visto antes no Canada, que tradicionalmente acolhia imigrantes oriundos sobretudo da Franca e do Reino Unido.
