Proses pembelajaran abad 21 yang harus dikembangkan oleh guru pada diri siswa, diantaranya: (1) kemampuan kemampuan memecahkan masalah, 2) berkomunikasi (3) kritis dan kreatif dan (4) kemampuan berkolaborasi dikenal dengan istilah 4C. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan 4C siswa terutama kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Hasil pembinaan pada guru SMK Kharisma Nusantara Purwakarta tahun sebelumnya, melalui observasi, angket dan studi dokumentasi, menunjukkan sebagian guru belum menggunakan model PBL dalam perangkat pembelajaran, terutama dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya supervisi akademik khususnya pembinaan, dengan menggunakan model supervisi klinis yang dilakukan oleh pengawas sekolah, supaya guru melaksanakan pembelajaran model PBL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan sekolah mengunakan sistem spiral refleksi model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang dimodifikasi. Strategi/metode kerja/teknik pembinaan yang digunakan dari siklus I sampai siklus II menerapkan model supervisi klinis. Hasil pembinaan pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa, aktivitas guru SMK Kharisma Nusantara Purwakarta dalam membuat RPP berbasis PBL masih perlu ditingkatkan. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan dan keahlian serta aktivitas guru pada siklus I, perlu ditingkatkan dan harus diperbaiki pada siklus II. Siklus II, mengakhiri proses pembinaan pada guru melalui supervisi klinis, dengan indikator kemampuan dan keahlian serta aktivitas guru sudah diatas 85%.
