Abstract
À partir d’un rappel de la définition de la patrimonialisation, l’article développe les spécificités sociosémiotiques de la traduction d’un processus social en patrimoine immatériel : maintien de la pratique initiale ; écriture d’une représentation savante à partir des manifestations (mise en œuvre et mémoire) ; intégration par l’inscription sur une des listes de l’Unesco ou des États ; mise dans la position d’observateur des membres du collectif ; toutes opérations qui aboutissent à la mise en texte de l’activation de la pratique dans le présent comme trace du passé à réactiver dans le futur. Cette mise en texte donne matière à deux modalités de publicisation : une gestion de la position d’observateur occupée par des étrangers et la documentarisation de la représentation savante qui essaime le schème du patrimoine immatériel dans les médias.
