Abstrak Pertambahan jumlah penduduk di suatu wilayah membuat kebutuhan untuk lahan permukiman semakin meningkat, sementara lahan memiliki keterbatasan dalam pemanfaatannya. Maka diperlukan kesesuaian antara penggunaan lahan dengan karakteristik lahan. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis kesesuaian lahan permukiman dengan rencana pola ruang wilayah di Kecamatan Tanjung Gadang Kabupaten Sijunjung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Dalam menganalisis kesesuaian lahan dilakukan analisis kuantitatif berupa sistem matching, scoring dan overlay peta dengan sistem informasi geografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Kondisi permukiman aktual di Kecamatan Tanjung Gadang memiliki luas 170 Ha dan pola penyebarannya mengikuti pola jalan. (2) Kesesuaian lahan permukiman di Kecamatan Tanjung Gadang dikategorikan menjadi empat kelas yaitu: Sangat Sesuai (S1) dengan luas 8.902 Ha, Sesuai (S2) dengan luas 5.394 Ha, Sesuai Marginal (S3) dengan luas 12.897 Ha, Tidak Sesuai (N) dengan luas 21.411 Ha. (3) Sedangkan konsistensi lahan permukiman terhadap rencana pola ruang wilayah sebesar 0,88%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi rencana tata ruang wilayah untuk permukiman di Kecamatan Tanjung Gadang sebesar 88%. Kata Kunci: Kesesuaian Lahan, Permukiman, Konsistensi
