Abstract
Bu çalışmada kullanılan, H. O. Fleischer’in iki ciltlik baskısıdır (Osnabruck: Biblio-Verlag, 1968).* Bu makalenin orijinal adı “Hermeneutics of al-Baydawi in his Anwâr al-Tanzîl wa Asrâr al-Ta’wîl”dır ve İngilizce olarak üç ayda bir yayınlanan ISLAMIC CULTURE isimli dergiden alınmıştır (Ocak 1997, c. LXXI, Sayı: 1, Haydarabad, Hindistan). Makalenin daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için bizim koyduğumuz dipnotlar, * işareti ile gösterilmiştir. Bize ait parantezlerde ise “mütercim” kaydı konulmuştur. Dipnotlarda c. kısaltması, cilt karşılığında, s. kısaltması da sayfa karşılığındadır. Ayrıca dipnotlardaki İngilizce kitap ve makale isimleri de parantez içinde Türkçe’ye çevrilmiştir. Beeston tarafından yapılan, “Baidawi’s Commentary on Surah 12 of the Qur’an” (Beydâvî’nin Kur’ân’ın Yûsuf (12) Sûresini Tefsiri) başlıklı tercümedir (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1963). Âl-i İmrân (3) sûresinin tefsiri, D. S. Margoliouth tarafından “Chrestomathia Baidawiana: The Commentary of el-Baidawi on Surah III” (Chrestomathia Baidawiana: Beydâvî’nin Âl-i İmrân (3) Sûresini Tefsiri) başlığıyla tercüme edilmiştir (London: Luzac and Co., 1894).
