Siswa SMA merupakan individu yang berada pada masa remaja. dimana di tahap usia perkembangannya remaja usia SMA sangat membutuhkan teman-teman,mereka akan senang jika banyak teman yang menyukainya sehingga mereka berusaha dengan cara apapun agar diterima oleh teman-temannya. Cara remaja untuk dapat diterima oleh teman-temannya yaitu mengikuti kegiatan atau trend tertentu yang sama dengan temannya salah satunya permainan game internet (game online). kemunculan beragam game online dapat bersifat negatif yaitu membuat pemainnya rentan terhadap kecanduan karena dimainkan secara berlebihan. Seorang siswa idealnya lebih mengutamakan belajar daripada bermain game online. Namun kenyataannya saat ini masih banyak siswa yang lebih mementingkan bermain game online daripada untuk belajar, sehingga hal ini dapat menurunkan motivasi belajar mereka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecanduan bermain game online terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Yuppentek 1 Tangerang. Pada penelitian ini responden sebanyak 76 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasi menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden dengan kecanduan bermain game online tinggi sebanyak 39 responden (51,3%) dan mayoritas motivasi belajar responden rendah sebanyak 40 responden (52,6%). Sehingga memiliki hubungan kecanduan bermain game online terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Yuppentek 1 Tangerang yang ditunjukkan dari nilai p value (0,012) < α (0,05). Maka dari itu diharapkan siswa bisa memanfaatkan dan mengatur waktu dengan baik antara waktu untuk bermain game dengan waktu belajar
