Le contexte pandémique a multiplié l’intérêt pour la formation à distance. Plus que jamais, nombreux sont les établissements d’enseignement supérieur qui s’intéressent à l’enseignement-apprentissage grâce à l’avènement des outils numériques. Plusieurs raisons expliquent cet intérêt marqué, notamment dans le contexte des pays émergents. Ces derniers présentent souvent des superficies vastes, des zones difficilement accessibles ou des populations denses qui rendent les espaces limités dans les classes. Cet ouvrage collectif comporte des textes tirant leur origine de différents pays en provenance notamment du Canada, d’Haïti, du Congo, de la Tunisie, du Cameroun et du Ghana. Des enseignants, des formateurs et des chercheurs s’unissent pour partager leurs savoirs, leurs expériences et leurs résultats de recherche. Destinés à un lectorat international, ces 10 chapitres classés en 3 parties présentent des enjeux, des modalités et des occasions de formation en enseignement supérieur dans la perspective d’élargir l’horizon des possi­bilités de la formation à distance (FAD) et les défis qui y sont associés. Près de 30 auteurs réfléchissent autour des grandes questions portant sur l’expérience de la motivation et de la réussite dans la FAD, de l’adaptation aux défis techno­pédagogiques qui y sont reliés et des possibilités de transformation des pratiques grâce à l’expérimentation des plateformes qui y sont dédiées.
