El aprendizaje activo en la pedagogía universitaria ha cobrado relevancia actual, por tal razón, se ha consolidado como una herramienta que fomenta la participación y el aprendizaje activo de los estudiantes en el aula de clases. Esta metodología tiene un enfoque en que la transmisión de conocimientos implique al estudiante de manera activa en su propio desarrollo del conocimiento y en el proceso de aprendizaje. Son diversas las estrategias que conforman este paradigma por lo que la presente investigación se plantea el análisis de estas estrategias en el aprendizaje activo en el aula de pedagogía universitaria. La búsqueda de la literatura en las diferentes bases de datos como son Dialnet, Scielo, Google académico, Scielo, entre otros, destacó estrategias como el constructivismo, que pone énfasis en la construcción del conocimiento mediante la interacción del estudiante con el entorno; el aprendizaje experiencial, propicia un aprendizaje a partir de la experiencia directa; el aprendizaje cooperativo, promueve la colaboración entre estudiantes; el aprendizaje basado en problemas (ABP), permite desarrollar habilidades de resolución de problemas; el aprendizaje basado en proyectos (ABPr) con la inclusión de los estudiantes en la creación y desarrollo de proyectos concretos; el aprendizaje situado, contextualiza el aprendizaje en entornos relevantes y el aprendizaje contemporáneo, integra herramientas actuales en el proceso educativo. Estas metodologías de enseñanza se combinan y adaptan a las necesidades especificas de cada contexto educativo, implementando tecnologías actuales con el objetivo de potenciar el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes, se debe evaluar cada una de ellas antes de su implementación.
