Abstract
Dieser Sammelband beleuchtet die Potenziale und Herausforderungen der Digitalisierung für Menschen mit Behinderungen aus einer rechte- und inklusionsorientierten Perspektive. Digitale Technologien unterstützen Kommunikation, Informationsbeschaffung und die Lösung alltäglicher Probleme. Die digitale Transformation, die sich durch die Covid-19-Pandemie beschleunigt hat, brachte für viele, jedoch nicht für alle Menschen gleichwertige Fortschritte. Der Sammelband bietet wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen und Praxisberichte über den Einsatz digitaler Unterstützungstechnologien in verschiedenen Lebensphasen von Menschen mit Behinderungen. Diese können sowohl in der Aus- und Weiterbildung von Fachkräften als auch bei Qualifizierungsangeboten für Menschen mit Behinderungen und deren Angehörige genutzt werden. Insgesamt zeigt der Sammelband auf, dass digitale Technologien ein großes Potenzial für die Inklusion von Menschen mit Behinderungen bieten. Sie können Barrieren abbauen und die gesellschaftliche Teilhabe verbessern, wenn sie richtig eingesetzt werden. Dazu bedarf es jedoch einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit den spezifischen Bedürfnissen und dem technischen Kenntnisstand einzelner Personen sowie der Entwicklung entsprechender Konzepte und Technologien für einen solchen personenzentrierten Ansatz.
