Abstract
Alumni-Netzwerke stehen schon definitionsgemäß am Ende der HR Wertschöpfungskette. Entsprechend ist es nicht überraschend, dass sich in der Vergangenheit viele Unternehmen erst mit diesem Thema beschäftigt haben, als die anderen Herausforderungen angegangen waren. Mit der Generation Y und den Veränderungen auf den Talent-Märkten entsteht aber eine neue Dynamik, die zum Handeln zwingt. Noch sind in den Alumni-Netzwerken der Unternehmen die Mitglieder der Generation Y zahlenmäßig nur sehr gering vertreten. Umso wichtiger ist es deshalb, sich jetzt Gedanken darüber zu machen, ob und wie durch sie der Aufbau und die Funktionsweise der Alumni-Netzwerke verändert werden. Dieser Text soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten. Auf der Basis der Erfahrungen bei Roland Berger Strategy Consultants werden Struktur und Nutzung von Alumni-Netzwerken dargestellt sowie die Motive von Unternehmen wie Mitarbeitern untersucht. Ein Einblick in die praktische Umsetzung des Alumni-Netzwerks von Roland Berger sowie ein Ausblick auf die Herausforderungen durch den Generationenwandel schließen die Ausführungen ab.
