Listrik merupakan kebutuhan primer manusia saat ini, sesuai dengan kemajuan zaman yang semakin pesat kebutuhan listrik sangat tinggi hampir disemua kalangan mulai dari daerah perkotaan hingga pedesaan.Di Indonesia untuk kebutuhan listrik masyarakat menggunakan layanan PLN. Namun pada beberapa prasarana komersil di Indonesia menggunakan mesin diesel sebagai penyedia kebutuhan listriknya. Salah satunya adalah Stasiun Pengisian Bahan Bakar Umum (SPBU). Besarnya tagihan listrik di SPBU didominasi oleh pompa minyak hampir 90% dari tagihan listrik tiap bulannya. Maka semakin banyak pompa minyak yang ada, semakin besar tagihan listrik yang akan dibayarkan. Potensi energi surya di Kota Pekanbarupada penelitian ini adalah sebesar 4,81 kWh/m2/hari, untukmemanfaatkan potensi energi surya maka dilakukanlah perancangan PLTS di SPBU Arifin Ahmaddengan beban perancangan sebesar 11.280 W dengan menggunakan inverter jenis Grid Tie Inverter yang akan menghubungkankeluaran hasil listrik sistem dengan listrik jaringan PLN danapabila jaringan PLN mati maka akan memutus listrik yang dihasilkan sistem sehingga tidak sampai ke jaringan PLN. Perancangan PLTS ini menggunakan 46 buah panel Canadian SolarMaxPower CS6U 330P dan inverter Sunny Tripower 15000TL Grid Tie Inverterdengan kapasitas 15.180 Wp dan menghasilkan energi 21,32 MWh ke jaringan utilitas tiap tahunnyaBedasarkan analisa ekonomi sistem PLTS ini menghasilkan nilai Life Cycle Cost sebesar Rp. 1.501.205.041nilai ini lebih kecil dibanding dengan Life Cycle Cost dari sistem PLN yang telah dipakai yakni Rp. 1.876.547.775. Selain itu sistem PLTS ini juga menghasilkan nilai Net Present Valuesebesar Rp. 50.398.516dengan baiaya investasi awal sebesar Rp. 709.489.000dan nilai Payback Periodeselama 4,37 tahun.Bedasarkan analisa ekonomi yang telah dilakukan maka perancangan PLTS di SPBU Arifin Ahmad dapat dilaksanakan.Kata kunci: PLTS,SPBU, Grid Tie Invereter, Life Cycle Cost, Net Present Value.Payback Periode
