Résumé

récupéré en direct d'OpenAlex

I need to bring to your attention some changes that have taken place in our beloved journal “Lung India.” Because of a steep rise in the number of articles submitted to “Lung India,” it was decided to publish 6 issues per year instead of the earlier trend of 4 issues per year. You must have appreciated the fact that even after the inclusion of more issues, the volume of material in the January and March issues was not less than that of any of the issues of the previous years. “Lung India” has risen to great stature and it is really a very daunting task to keep it growing more and more. “Lung India” has surpassed many other journals in the field of pulmonary medicine and stands tall among the top national journals. You are requested to join hands with us and submit your best-quality scientific work to “Lung India.” We promise you worldwide recognition through publication, as “Lung India” is indexed by many standard agencies and linked to the international publishing company Wolters Kluwer. Those interested in contributing more toward the improvement of the journal are requested to join the esteemed reviewer panel of “Lung India.” People with outstanding scholastic backgrounds from all specialties of medicine may join the reviewer panel. Section editors and editorial board members should review a minimum of three to four papers a year. They should be ready to contribute a commentary or review at the request of the journal as and when necessary. We are planning to revamp the current reviewer panel, section editors, and the editorial board based on the level of individual contribution to the journal. To prevent plagiarism, we are now using iThenticate software, especially during the editorial checking phase before acceptance. The software uses advanced pay-per-search technology. During the journey of life, time reminds us time and again that we are earthly creatures and nothing is perpetual. How can one believe that Dr. Dheeraj Gupta, Professor of Pulmonary Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh is no longer with us? He was a brilliant person with a great, humanistic approach. He was the backbone of the Indian Chest Society (ICS), and contributed immensely to the progress of “Lung India.” His contribution to the field of pulmonary medicine will be remembered for a very long time. May his soul rest in peace, and I pray that God may give solace to his grieving family and friends.
