Production and Milk Quality Performance of FH Cattle on Lactation, Milking Time and Different Genotype of Kappa Casein (κ-casein) in Lembang Bandung. Firmansyah, F., R. R.A. Maheswari and C. Sumantri Milk is a natural food, produced by dairy cattle. Holstein Friesian (HF) cow is one of the milk-producing animals. HF cows has been long maintained and adapted to the tropical climate in Indonesia. This research aims to study the effects of differences in lactation and milking time on the production performance and quality of HF cow's milk in the Cilumber village and Pasar Kemis Lembang Bandung. Milk samples used in this study obtained from 117 cows with a distance of adjacent months of lactation. Each individual is milking as much as two times morning and afternoon. Milk samples obtained from two locations namely Cilumber village (57 cows) and Pasar Kemis (60 cows). The data consists κ-casein genotype. It obtained from blood sampling data and the data of individual cows. Individual data include identification numbers of cows and cow lactation data. Other data obtained were compositional data content of the nutritional value of feed concentrate given as. The design of this study using Balance-Completely Factorial Randomized Design. The first factor was the time of milking morning and evening milking, the second factor was the different lactation. Differences of lactation and milking time was affecting milk production in the Cilumber village but analysis showed milk production in the Pasar Kemis not influenced lactation differences. Production of milk in the morning tends to be higher than in the afternoon, while the quality of milk in the afternoon is better than quality in the morning because there is a correlation between the production of milk with dry ingredients and fat ingredients. The increase in milk production resulted in a decrease dry ingredients and milk fat levels. Cows with genotype BB κ–kasein produce milk protein level tended to be higher than genotyipe AA and AB.
