Romania in 2020 in Today's International Relations Context

Résumé
ABSTRACT.The present article aims at analyzing Romania in the year 2020 by starting with a brief overview of the international situation and its influence on the global situation and last but not least with reference to Romania. An elaborate research was conducted with the help of post graduate students, where data concerning the international political and administrative science was gathered in a database and the main conclusions were further stated in this article with a focus on Romanian social, economic and political environment. The article aims at showing partial results of the research and to propose main directions for the future sociopolitical development of Romania to surpass the actual economic crisis.Keywords: Romania, 2020, international relations1. IntroductionWe live in a globalized, uncertain and conflictive world where the simplest turbulence may degenerate into unexpected developments.Specialty papers consider the economic crisis and global recession as the determinants of the common challenges across all countries of the world, but it should be noted that the national economies have not been affected evenly by the global shocks. The 2007 financial crisis had the most dramatic effects on the emerging and developing countries where the population incomes are of the lowest in the world.The world states face a number of variables, dangers and threats, political, economic, financial problems and not only that had influenced but will keep on influencing the in coming decades the balance and power equation at an international level as follows:- The communism collapse in Central and Eastern Europe and the emergence of new states on the map of the world - 22 in number;- Multiplication of the economic power centers - the EU, NAFTA, MERCOSUR, APEC, OPEC, CARICORM;- The rise of new centers of political, economic and military power - Japan, Russia, China, India, the EU, BRIC - which increasingly threaten USA's status;- Configuration of a new axis of power in the world affairs: Moscow - Berlin - Paris and Moscow - Beijing - New Delhi - Brazil - converted into political-military decision centers with a growing influence on the dynamics of world politics;- The intensification of the conflict between the hegemonic tendencies of the Center and the litigation attitude of the Suburbs - embodied in conflicts as: the Chechen, Georgian, Transnistrian, Iraq, and Afghan and last but not the least Syria;- The global financial and economic crisis of 2008-2010 and beyond, as well as member liabilities that may induce a phenomenon of economic implosion on a global scale;- The emergence of new collective security organisms or regional such as - ESDP, CIS, SCO, CSTO;-Increased conflicts and aises in various parts of the world - internal conflicts in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Somalia, Yemen, the so called Arab Spring;- Failure to recognize at international level of countries by other countries dictated by various intaests - Macedonia by Greece, Turkish Cyprus, Transnistria by any state, Kosovo by Serbia, Romania;- The emergence and inaeasing influence of religious communities - the rise of Islamic fundamentalism;- International terrorism, drug cartels, NGOs and transnational corporations;- Greater competition for resources, raw mataials and energy, the energy dependencies front of some areas of the world and countries - Middle East, Caspian Basin, Russia;- Expanding NATO eastward redeployment policy and the U.S. bases in the former socialist countries;- Changing the centa of gravity of the Europe - USA - Canada to the Asia - Pacific caused by the rise of China, Japan, Australia, the Asians 'Tigers and Lions;- Beginning of battles for Eurasia, which will constitute the 3rd millennium geopolitical stake.1.1 The Issue at the Globalization LevelSome officials consider 2020 as a date in the distant future and reject the validity of the predictions. …
