In favorable cases, the <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" alttext="upper K Baseline 3"> <mml:semantics> <mml:mrow> <mml:mi>K</mml:mi> <mml:mn>3</mml:mn> </mml:mrow> <mml:annotation encoding="application/x-tex">K3</mml:annotation> </mml:semantics> </mml:math> </inline-formula> -surface has Picard number <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" alttext="20"> <mml:semantics> <mml:mn>20</mml:mn> <mml:annotation encoding="application/x-tex">20</mml:annotation> </mml:semantics> </mml:math> </inline-formula> , and the Mahler measure is related to its <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" alttext="upper L"> <mml:semantics> <mml:mi>L</mml:mi> <mml:annotation encoding="application/x-tex">L</mml:annotation> </mml:semantics> </mml:math> </inline-formula> -function. This was first studied by Marie-JosĂ© Bertin. In this work, we prove several new formulas, extending the earlier work of Bertin.
