Komunikasi Dalam Konseling Pastoral Bagi Pendeta Sebagai Seorang Konselor di Jemaat GKE Betlehem Pontianak

This study aims to further examine communication in pastoral counseling for pastors as counselors in the GKE Betlehem Pontianak congregation by using a qualitative approach to describe the actual conditions based on data and facts in the field. This research uses Client-Centered Theory. Carl R. Rogers developed Client-Centered therapy as a form of reaction to what he called the fundamental limitations of psychoanalysis to analyze data in the form of answers from informants. The interviews and observations were conducted directly and indirectly through social media (video calls and voice calls) to eight informants who are certainly related to their professions and services, so that they are expected to work well together, namely starting from Pastors, Vicars, Elders, Deacons, Congregations, Counselors and Theology students who the author considers important in this study. The results showed that in the GKE Betlehem Pontianak congregation, the application of counseling communication is fundamental and acts as a means of communication that can maintain the relationship between the Pastor and the congregation so that the intent and purpose of the message conveyed from the Pastor to the congregation can be conveyed efficiently through an interpersonal communication approach based on Christian values summarized in pastoral counseling. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih lanjut mengenai komunikasi dalam konseling pastoral bagi pendeta sebagai konselor di jemaat GKE Betlehem Pontianak dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggambarkan kondisi yang sebenarnya berdasarkan data dan fakta di lapangan. Penelitian ini dengan menggunakan Teori Client-Centered. Carl R. Rogers mengembangkan terapi Client-Centered sebagai bentuk reaksi terhadap apa yang disebutnya batasan-batasan mendasar dari psikoanalisis untuk menganalisa data yang berupa jawaban dari informan. Adapun wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan dengan secara langsung dan secara tidak langsung melalui media social (video call dan voice call) kepada ke delapan informan yang tentunya berhubungan dengan profesi dan pelayanannya, sehingga diharapkan dapat bekerjasama dengan baik, yaitu mulai dari Pendeta, Vikaris, Penatua, Diakon, Jemaat, Konselor dan mahasiswa Teologi yang penulis anggap berpengaruh penting di dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada jemaat GKE Betlehem Pontianak, penerapan komunikasi konseling merupakah hal yang fundamental dan berperan sebagai sarana komunikasi yang dapat merawat relasi antar Pendeta ke jemaat agar maksud dan tujuan pesan yang disampaikan dari Pendeta ke jemaat dapat tersampaikan secara efisien melalui pendekatan komunikasi antar pribadi yang berdasarkan nilai-nilai kekristenan yang dirangkum dalam konseling pastoral.
