Résumé
Current Opinion in Nephrology and Hypertension was launched in 1992. It is part of a successful series of review journals whose unique format is designed to provide a systematic and critical assessment of the literature as presented in the many primary journals. The field of nephrology and hypertension is divided into 12 sections that are each reviewed once a year. Each section is assigned a Section Editor, a leading authority in the area, who identifies the most important topics at that time. Here we are pleased to introduce the Section Editors for this issue. SECTION EDITORS Aline MartinAline MartinDr Aline Martin, PhD, MSc, is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, USA. She is a graduate of the University Jean Monnet, Saint-Etienne, France, and completed her postdoctoral training at the Jared Grantham Kidney Institute, Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, USA. Dr Martin conducts basic and translational science research in the area of bone and mineral metabolism disorders and actively mentors undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral trainees. Dr Martin's research involves multiple national and international collaborations. She has received research support from the National Institute of Health and is a current member of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, American Society of Nephrology and American Heart Association. Rosa M. A. MoysésRosa M. A. MoysésDr Rosa M. A. Moysés earned her medical degree from the Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil. She specialized in Nephrology and completed her postdoctoral training at the same Institution. Her research is focused on mineral metabolism disorders in patients with chronic kidney disease, but she has also studied the association of bone diseases and vascular calcification through experimental studies and clinical trials. She has received support from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), National Council for Scientific and Technological Deve lopment (CNPq) and the National Institutes of Health. During her career, she has mentored postdoctoral fellows, residents, students, and trainees, through national and international collaborative projects. Orson W MoeOrson W MoeOrson Moe received his medical degree, residency in internal medicine and fellowship in nephrology at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is currently Professor of Internal Medicine and Physiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, USA. Moe is a clinician-scientist-educator. He holds the Charles Pak Distinguished Chair in Mineral Metabolism. The Donald W. Seldin Professorship in Clinical Research, and the administrative position as the Director of the Charles and Jane Pak Center of Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research. He conducts both human and basic research in epithelial transport and metabolism, mineral homeostasis, and pathophysiology of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease. Moe is very active in education at the institutional, national, and international level. He is a member of the American Physiologic Society, American Society of Nephrology. International Society of Nephrology, American Society of Clinical Investigation, and Association of American Physicians.
