Synonymized by Seevers 1951: 733. <b>Description.</b> Body length 1.2–1.7 mm, dark brown to black, entire elytra or their posterior part frequently paler (Fig. 30). Punctation: vertex of head and pronotum, elytra, and pronotum moderately coarsely punctate, abdomen sparsely, irregularly punctate (Fig. 30). Microsculpture: reticulate throughout, most evident on elytra. Antennae light yellow-brown as illustrated (Fig. 30). Pronotum 1.6 times as wide as long. MALE: tergite 8 with two large median lobes at apical margin (Fig. 201); sternite 8 rounded apically (Fig. 202). Median lobe of aedeagus with long and narrow tubus bearing thin apical projection directed posteriad (Fig. 199), apical projection of internal sac short and terminated with multiple coiled and everted flagellum (Fig. 199). Paramere as illustrated (Fig. 200). FEMALE. Tergite 8 with two apical lobes (Fig. 204); sternite 8 broadly rounded apically and pointed medially (Fig. 205); spermatheca as illustrated (Fig. 203). <b>Bionomics. Macrohabitat:</b> hardwood forest, mixed forest, silver maple forest, flood plain forest with butternut trees, mature red spruce and red maple forest, and oak forest. This species has also been found in a conifer forest, red spruce forest (80–120 years old), hemlock forest (120+ years old), hemlock/balsam fir/black spruce forest, and stream margin forest. <b>Microhabitat:</b> on/in <i>Pleurotus</i> sp. on logs and dead standing trembling aspens, in partially dried <i>Pleurotus</i> sp. on dead standing sugar maple, in slightly decayed polypore fungi on log, in decaying polypore fungi on dead standing spruce, in bracket fungi, in/on gilled mushrooms on logs and forest floor, on <i>Climatodon septentrionale</i> growing on dead standing sugar maple. Also found on <i>Heterobasidium annosum</i> on <i>Picea rubens</i>. <b>Collecting period:</b> June, July, August, and September. <b>Collecting method:</b> sifting mushrooms, aspirating and hand collecting specimens. <b>Distribution</b> (Map 26).
