Media, from the perspective of communication, it refers to the material tools of using media to store and disseminate information. (1)According to the American communication scholar Wilbur Schramm, Media is a tool for spreading and extending information in the process of communication. (2)Marshall McLuhan, a Canadian scholar, who defined media as information, and put forward the theory of The media is the message .This theory redefines the ontology of media and overturns peoples traditional understanding of media.It makes people see the great influence of the change of media form on human perception, behavior and thinking.Based on the theory of The media is the message , McLuhan further proposed that The media is the extension of man .With the constant progress of science and technology, intelligent machine has gradually strengthened from artificial guide intelligence to the depth of machine learning.If we consider artificial intelligence as the extension of human intelligence by intelligent machinesthen when the machine has all the functions of human intelligence, it will eventually move to human-machine integration.With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence, human will return to the whole and the harmonious and natural life.It is similar to the concept of Harmony between man and nature in Chinese traditional culture.When people turn the subordinate status of intelligent machine as tool into the dominant position like human, it will cause the confusion of the development of artificial intelligence.If we realize that intelligent machine as a tool is only the extension of human, rather than an independent subject, it will help to clarify the relationship between human and artificial intelligence.Therefore, based on the media method of McLuhan as well as the modern value of the concept of Harmony between man and nature to analyze the development process of human-machine integration, it is of great practical significance to grasp the development direction of artificial intelligence technology.
