O conceito de informação na arquivologia contemporânea: da tradução conceitual à delimitação do objeto de estudo na produção científica brasileira
Notice bibliographique
Résumé
The concept of information in Contemporary Archivology appears as part of its object of study, which emerges mainly in two distinct currents: the post-custodial, informational and scientific paradigm of Portugal, and the Canadian Integrated Archival. In both archival perspectives, the disciplinary relation with Information Science is present, although each point of view presents different connotations for the use of the information concept. Generally, the research seeks to understand the occurrence of the translatability of the information concept, coming out of its original context in the Information Science, assuming the character of na object of study in the Archival Contemporaneity. In order to achieve this understanding, it was necessary to point out the objects of study of the contemporary Archivology in their relation with the information concept; to describe the process of conceptual translatability, identifying the properties of archival information, based on the characterisTIC found in Information Science; and, to ascertain the disciplinary relation existing between the Archivology and the Information Science about the information object. Through the established temporal cut (1997-2018), have been mapped, in twelve Brazilian journals, the articles that present relevant subject matter to the Archivology object related to the information concept. The research was carried out from two searches, one through the tools available in the Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) and the other in the sites of journals chosen based on the Associação do Arquivistas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (AAERJ). The research had as methodological characterisTIC the qualitative approach, the bibliographic research, the descriptive level and the use of content analysis as a document evaluation technique. The collection of the material to form the research corpus was done considering the two first stages of the content analysis, the pre-analysis and the exploration of the material, followed by the organization and documentary identification. For the last stage of the process of content analysis, inference and interpretation, the conceptual analysis sheet was used as na instrument elaborated with previously established categories. From the analysis of the corpus, more specifically from the 24 articles that discussed the concept of information with the Archivology, it is possible to infer, through a disciplinary approach, the translatability of the information. The information object has been discussed in contemporary Archivology, and, it is presentin the literature indications of the use of the information concept to characterize the new scenario with Informationand Communication Technologies (ICT), being this generic meaning the archival information. In order to discuss the duality of the object of study in the perspective of document – support – and information – phenomenon –, the definitions of organic information or registered information have been defended. And even in the adoption of the object archival information, organic information, registered information, and, still discreetly, social information, we perceived the intense use of the term beyond the interdisciplinary proximity with the Information Science.
