York U’s Lisa Philipps Receives “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” Award From The Women’s Executive Network

York U Senior administrator and professor at Osgoode Hall Law School recognized as an iconic female leader\nTORONTO, November 23, 2017 – York University’s Lisa Philipps, professor, Osgoode Hall Law School and interim vice-president academic & provost, has been named one of this year’s top 100 most powerful women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).\nLaunched in 2003, the Top 100 Awards celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Canada’s top female executive talent as well as their organizations and networks.\nLisa Philipps joined York in 1996 as a faculty member at Osgoode Hall Law School. In 2017, she was named interim provost and vice-president academic when her predecessor Rhonda L. Lenton was appointed York’s president and vice-chancellor. Philipps leads the senior academic administrative team in the areas of academic planning, institutional change management, the alignment of academic priorities and resources, and strategic enrolment and complement planning. She serves as director of research policy on the board of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, a national non-profit organization and is a member of the Provincial Judges Pension Board.\n“I am grateful for the leadership that Lisa has brought to Osgoode Hall Law School for many years, and now, to the broader university community in her role as interim provost and vice-president academic,” said Rhonda L.
