The Russian-Ukrainian war is one of the most tragic realities of the 21st century, which turned the relatively normal life rhythm of the planet into frightening mass phenomena of hatred and terror, changed the political map of the world, and established a new unpredictable order in international relations. Ukraine, defending its independence in a cruel war on its territory, faced numerous challenges and losses. One of these challenges and incredible losses is the large-scale flow of forced migrants from Ukraine to other countries. The life of refugees is a search for a new life under an alien sky. Their stories are a picture of patience, courage and strength of the human spirit, adaptation to qualitatively different, as a rule, difficult living conditions in foreign lands.The article highlights the consequences of the main modern geopolitical challenge - Russian aggression against Ukraine, which caused global problems of migration and refugees from Ukraine.The migration of Ukrainians to Canada has deep historical roots, which began at the end of the 19th century. The main period of mass Ukrainian migration falls on the beginning of the 20th century, when Canada became one of the six key attractive centers of gravity of world migration, which, among others, received a large number of Ukrainians. Now the role of this state has not changed, but on the contrary - it has obviously increased, especially for refugees from Ukraine.The article examines the historical beginning of the migration of Ukrainians to Canada, analyzes the attitude of the Canadian government towards Ukrainian refugees and their perception, highlights the measures that Canada is taking to provide assistance to Ukrainian refugees who immigrated in connection with the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 24, 2022.Key words: Ukraine, Canada, immigration, refugees, aid programs, research, adaptation, integration.
