The body measurements and the relationships between this traits some dog breeds at military school of veterinary medicine and training center in gemlik

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Gemlik Askeri Veteriner Okulu ve Eğitim Merkez Komutanlığında yetiştirilen Alman Çoban Köpeği, Labrador Retriever ve Belçika Malinois ırkı köpeklerde, bazı vücut ölçülerini belirlemek ve bu ölçüler arası fenotipik korelasyonları ortaya koymaktır. Çalışma, Gemlik Askeri Veteriner Okulu ve Eğitim Merkez Komutanlığı Köpek Üretim ve Eğitim Tabur Komutanlığında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada, kurumda saf olarak yetiştirilen, toplam 96 adet köpek kullanılmıştır. Dişi Alman Çoban Köpeklerinde baş uzunluğu, burun uzunluğu, vücut uzunluğu, kuyruk uzunluğu, cidago yüksekliği, sağrı yüksekliği, göğüs derinliği ve sağrı genişliği ölçüleri bakımından yaş dönem ortalamaları arasındaki farklar istatistiki bakımdan önemli (P<0,001) bulunmuştur. Erkek Alman Çoban Köpeklerde canlı ağırlık değeri, dokuz,12 ve 15 aylık yaş döneminde ortalama olarak sırasıyla 20,36, 24,23 ve 24,68 kg olarak tespit edilmiş olup, yaş dönem ortalamaları arası fark istatistiki olarak önemli çıkmıştır. Labrador Retriever dişi köpeklerde cidago yüksekliği, vücut uzunluğu, sağrı yüksekliği ve sağrı genişliği ölçüleri bakımından yaş dönemleri arası fark, istatistik açıdan önemli (P<0,001) olarak tespit edilmiştir. Cidago yüksekliği, dokuz, 12 ve 15 aylık yaş döneminde sırasıyla 45,43, 48,34 ve 49,84 cm olarak bulunmuştur. Labrador Retriever erkek köpeklerde canlı ağırlık, baş uzunluğu, burun uzunluğu, kulak uzunluğu, cidago yüksekliği, göğüs çevresi, göğüs derinliği, sağrı yüksekliği, sağrı genişliği, bilek çevresi ve kuyruk uzunluğu bakımından yaş dönem ortalamaları arası farklar istatistiksel bakımdan önemli bulunmuştur. Belçika Malinois dişi köpeklerde cidago yüksekliği, yaş dönemlerinde sırasıyla, 48,80, 51,23 ve 51,98 cm olarak tespit edilmiş olup yaş dönemleri arası farklar önemli (P<0,05) bulunmuştur. Malinois erkek köpeklerde canlı ağırlık, baş uzunluğu, burun uzunluğu, cidago yüksekliği, göğüs çevresi, göğüs genişliği, göğüs derinliği, sağrı yüksekliği, bilek çevresi, kuyruk uzunluğu bakımından değişik yaş dönem ortalamaları arası farklar istatistiksel bakımdan önemsiz çıkmıştır. Alman Çoban Köpeklerinde dokuz aylık yaş döneminde, kulak uzunluğu ile baş uzunluğu ve vücut uzunluğu, bilek çevresi ile baş uzunluğu, vücut uzunluğu, göğüs çevresi, göğüs derinliği, sağrı genişliği ile baş uzunluğu ve göğüs derinliği, sağrı yüksekliği ile vücut uzunluğu, göğüs genişliği ile kulak uzunluğu ve göğüs derinliği arasında, 12 aylık yaş döneminde kulak uzunluğu ile vücut uzunluğu, göğüs çevresi ve sağrı genişliği, sağrı yüksekliği ile vücut uzunluğu, baş uzunluğu ile göğüs derinliği, göğüs genişliği, sağrı genişliği ve bilek çevresi arasında, 15 aylık yaş döneminde ise kuyruk uzunluğu ile vücut uzunluğu, göğüs çevresi, göğüs genişliği, sağrı genişliği ile göğüs derinliği, sağrı yüksekliği ve canlı ağırlık arasında istatistiki bakımdan P<0.05 düzeyinde korelasyon belirlenmiştir. Labrador Köpeklerde dokuz aylık yaş döneminde,cidago yüksekliği ile sağrı yüksekliği arasında dokuz aylık yaş döneminde 0,847, 12 aylık yaş döneminde 0,891 ve 15 aylık yaş döneminde 0,905 gibi oldukça yüksek ve istatistiksel bakımdan önemli korelasyonlar bulunmuştur. Canlı ağırlık ortalaması ile tüm vücut ölçüleri arasında istatistiki anlamlılığı olan ve yüksek sayılabilecek değerlerde korelasyonlar (CA x BU: 0,557, CA x KU: 0,718, CA x CY: 0, 671, CA x VU: 0,678, CA x GÇ 0,803, CA x GD: 0,742, CA x GG: 0,622, CA x SY: 0,573, CA x SG: 0,584, CA x BÇ: 0,673, CA x KUU: 0,578) tespit edilmiştir. Dokuz aylık yaş döneminde Malinois köpeklerde, cidago yüksekliği ile canlı ağırlık arasında 0,728, baş uzunluğu arasında 0,752, sağrı yüksekliği arasında 0,823, göğüs çevresi ile canlı ağırlık arasında 0,945, göğüs derinliği arasında 0,720, göğüs genişliği arasında 0,852, göğüs derinliği ile vücut uzunluğu arasında 0,729, göğüs genişliği ile canlı ağırlık arasında 0,841 değerlerinde önemli ve yüksek korelasyon değerleri elde edilmiştir. 15 aylık yaş döneminde Cidago yüksekliği ile canlı ağırlık arasında 0,842, baş uzunluğu arasında 0,702, kulak uzunluğu arasında 0,931, vücut uzunluğu arasında 0,736, sağrı yüksekliği arasında 0,984, bilek çevresi arasında 0,834, ve kuyruk uzunluğu arasında 0,809 değerinde istatistik anlamlılığı olan (P<0,05, P<0,01) yüksek korelasyon katsayıları bulunmuştur. The Body Measurements and the Relationships Between This Traits Some Dog Breeds at Military School of Veterinary Medicine and Training Center in Gemlik This study was carried out to determine the body measurements and the phenotypic correletions between these measurements in German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever and Belgian Malinois dog breeds reared in Military School of Veterinery Medicine and Training Center in Gemlik. For this purpose 96 dogs were used in this study. The age effects were found statistically significant on the head length, the nose length, the body length, the tail length, the height at shoulder, the height at rump, the chest depth and the rump width of the female German Shepherd Dogs. The average body weight in male German Shepherd Dogs were found as 20,36 kg at nine months of age, 24,23 kg at 12 months of age and 24,68 kg at 15 months af age. There were significant differences between 9, 12 and 15 months of age for the height at shoulder, body length, height at rump and rump width in female Labrador Retriever Dogs. The average height at shoulder were found as 20,36 kg at nine months of age, 24,23 kg at 12 months of age and 24,68 kg at 15 month af age. The differences among age groups in terms of analysed the body weight, the head length, the nose length, the ear length, the height at shoulder, the chest circumference, the chest depth, the height at rump, the rump width, the wrist circumference and the tail length were statistically significant of the male Labradors. Average body lengths at nine 12 and 15 months of ages were found as 50,57, 53,82 and 56,03 cm, respectively. The effect of age were found as significant (P<0,001) for body weight. The average heights at shoulder in all age groups in female Belgian Malinois Dogs were measured as 48,80, 51,23 and 51,98 cm respectively. There were significant differences between 9, 12 and 15 months of age for the body weight, the head length, the nose length, the height at shoulder, the chest width, the chest depth, the height at rump, wrist circumference, the tail length in male Belgian Malinois Dogs. The positive and statistically significant (P<0,05) phenotypic correlations were determined between the ear length and the head length and the body length, between the wrist circumference and the head length, between the body length and the chest circumference, and the chest depth, between the rump width and the head length and the chest depth, between the height at rump and body length, between the chest width and the chest depth, at the nine months of age. Similar phenotypic correlations were found between the ear length and the body length, chest circumference and the rump width, between the height at rump and the body length, between the ear length and the body weight, between the head length and the chest depth, the chest width, the rump width and wrist circumference at the 12 months of age. Additionally, positive phenotypic correlations between the tail length and body length, the chest circumference, the chest width, the rump width and the wrist circumference, between the the rump width and the chest depth and the height of rump, between the body weight and the ear length were determined at the 15 month of age in German Shepherd Dogs. High positive phenotypic correlations such as 0,847, 0,891 and 0,905 were found between the height at shoulder and the height at rump at the 9, 12 and 15 months of age, in Dobermans, respectively. High positive phenotypic correlations were found between the height at shoulder and body weight (0,728), the head length (0,752) and the height of rump (0,823), between the chest circumference and the body weight (0,945), the chest depth (0,720), the chest width (0,852) and the wrist circumference (0,788), between the chest depth and the body length (0,729), between the chest width and the body weight (0,841) at the nine months of age; between the height at shoulder and the body weight (0,842), the head length (0,702), the ear length (0,931), the body length (0,736), the height of rump (0,984), the wrist circumference (0,834) and the tail length (0,809) at the 15 months of age in Belgian Malinois Dogs.
