ETSU welcomes the following new faculty and staff to the university family: Jesse S. Anderson is a data integrity coordinator in Community Outreach. He holds an M.A. in new media studio from ETSU. Dr. Willie Anderson is an assistant professor in the Division of Neurology of the Department of Pediatrics. Before coming to ETSU, he was a pediatric neurologist in private practice. He holds an M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Robin Antepara is an ESL (English as a second language) lecturer in the Department of Literature and Language. She comes to ETSU from Lincoln Memorial University, where she was director of International Student and Scholar Services. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Amanda Nicole Burton is a data integrity coordinator in Community Outreach. She was previously a mapping coordinator with Hawkins County 9-1-1. She holds a B.S. degree in human development and learning from ETSU Fernando Calogero is director of operational excellence in the Department of Family Medicine. He was self-employed as a lean/project management consultant before attaining his current position. He holds an M.B.A. in management and strategy from Western Governors University. Dr. Joseph Chappell is director of institutional research in the Office of Planning and Decision Support. He was previously a budget analyst with Tennessee Technological University, where he earned his Ph.D. in program planning and evaluation. Vicki Gae Edwards is a patient care representative in the Department of Family Medicine after working as a processing assistant with Western Highlands Network. She has studied at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Rachel Ellis is an assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitative Sciences. Before coming to ETSU, she was an assistant professor at Milligan College, where she earned a master’s degree. Lily Fowler is an admissions counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. She was previously a server at the Firehouse Restaurant in Johnson City. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from ETSU. Kallie Gay is a lecturer in the Department of Communication and Performance after serving as a graduate teaching assistant in the department. She holds an M.A. in communication and storytelling studies from ETSU. Dr. Vallire Hooper is associate dean of research and scholarship and director of the Ph.D. program in the College of Nursing. She was previously a nurse scientist scholar at Mission Health, Asheville, North Carolina. She holds a Ph.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. Stephanie Horvath is an assistant professor in the Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. Before coming to ETSU, she was an American Sign Language teacher at the Tennessee School for the Deaf. She holds a master’s degree in deaf education from McDaniel College. Kaitlin Jones is a registered nurse in Community Outreach. She was previously an R.N. with Ballad Health. She holds a bachelor’s degree from ETSU. Sharon Leone is a campus visit coordinator in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. She comes to ETSU from Indiana University, where she was assistant director of the Kelley Living Learning Center. She holds a master’s degree from Western Kentucky University. Avery Lewis is an admissions counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions after serving as an assistant in that office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with minors in accounting and music from ETSU. Renee Lowe is an instructor in Undergraduate Programs in the College of Nursing. Before coming to ETSU, she was a registered nurse at Johnson City Medical Center. She holds an M.S.N. from ETSU. Jennifer Prescott is an instructor in Undergraduate Nursing at ETSU at Sevierville. She holds an M.S.N. from Capella University. Sarah Taylor is a family nurse practitioner with the College of Nursing after serving as an F.N.P. with Anthem. She holds an M.S.N. from ETSU. Marshall Andrew Young is director of assessment and institutional excellence in Academic Affairs in Gatton College of Pharmacy. He was previously supervisor of facilities at Tusculum University, where he earned his M.B.A. Published Feb. 28, 2020, as part of the Accent email newsletter for faculty and staff.
