Abstract
Solidarność jest fundamentalnym obowiązkiem w życiu społecznym. Jego wskazania są nadal aktualne nie tylko w państwach opiekuńczych, ale także w społeczeństwach biednych i rozwarstwionych. Aktywna solidarność jednostek jest koniecznym warunkiem żywotności społeczeństwa i jego autonomii w stosunku do państwa. Stanowi antidotum na anonimowość i kulturę masową oraz gwarantuje podmiotowość społeczeństwa. Społeczeństwo jako całość musi okazywać solidarność z jednostkami najsłabszymi. Solidarność, która zapobiega dezintegracji przestrzeni społecznej i podziałowi społeczeństwa na kilka odrębnych światów, daje szansę na spokojne życie społeczne oraz stwarza warunki do kształtowania lojalności i poczucia jedności ze społeczeństwem i państwem. Solidarność prowadzi nas od jednostki do społeczeństwa. Solidarność w tym szczególnym aspekcie przejawia się w utrzymywaniu wspólnych „reguł gry”, które ułatwiają prawidłowe funkcjonowanie całego społeczeństwa.
