Abstract
Une entreprise de fabrication de papier fin faisait face à un problème d’accidents de travail aux postes de chargement des machines produisant le papier. L’analyse de l’activité de travail des chargeurs a permis de soulever différents aspects de la problématique. À cause de la variabilité de la matière première, les travailleurs au chargement devaient adopter différentes stratégies lors du transport, de la manutention et de la coupe des attaches métalliques reliant le contenu des ballots de pâte à papier. De plus, l’aménagement des postes de chargement n’était pas uniforme aux quatre machines étudiées ; la formation reçue par les travailleurs réguliers et réservistes était également variable, ce qui influençait les stratégies de travail développées. Enfin, il appert que la façon dont les postes étaient hiérarchisés dans l’entreprise exerçait une influence importante sur la problématique des accidents. L’analyse du travail ainsi que les éléments de recommandations devaient donc inclure tous ces paramètres.
