Abstract
Cet article se propose d’analyser les traits principaux de la politique économique internationale du Canada envers l’Amérique latine au cours des dix dernières années, en mettant spécialement l’accent sur l’analyse des tensions que cette stratégie a provoqué implicitement sur trois niveaux d’intervention : sa relation avec les États-Unis dans l’espace régional latino-américain, l’échec apparent de ses initiatives multilatérales en Amérique Latine, la difficile conciliation des intérêts des corporations canadiennes avec la promotion d’un développement durable par le biais de sa diplomatie commerciale internationale.
