Une des principales caractéristiques de la Société de l’Information contemporaine est la disparition, sous l’action des NTIC, de certaines frontières entre les personnes, les lieux, leurs rôles et leurs activités (Béréziat et al., 2000 ; Kreitzman, 1999). Cela ne concerne pas uniquement la sphère professionnelle mais également la sphère privée : changement des relations entre collègues de travail, entre les lieux de télétravail et les autres endroits, et, enfin, au sein de la sphère domestique entre l’espace privatif et l’espace de travail. Dans cette situation, les individus ont besoin de recréer de nouveaux équilibres. Les télétravailleurs en particulier se doivent d’être inventifs, car en la matière il n’y a aucun précédent auquel ils pourraient se référer. Pour aborder la question des conséquences spatio-temporelles d’une pratique quotidienne individuelle de ce mode d’organisation du travail, nous avons mené une étude quantitative et qualitative auprès de la population télétravailleuse d’une multinationale. Ces observations au sein d’un observatoire topique nous ont permis d’identifier d’une part, pratiques et formes de télétravail et d’autre part, diversité de profils de télétravailleurs. Pour chacun de ces profils, l’étude a permis de mettre en évidence le réaménagement de la mobilité quotidienne dans ses dimensions professionnelles et non professionnelles.
