The article overviews the methods of keeping or disposing of cremated human remains in selected EU member states (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden), as well as in Australia, Canada and the United States. The author looks at the burial options available and the relevant regulations.
