Se ha llevado a cabo la revision de los generos Straminergon Heden~is y Calliergon (Suli.) Kindb. en la Peninsula Iberica, basada principalmente en material de herbario procedente de PC y de los mas importantes herbarios ibericos. Se confirma la presencia de Straminergofl stramineum (Dicks. ex Brid.) Hedenas, Calliergon cord~folium (Hedw.) Kindb. y U giganteum (Schimp.) Kindb. en el area de estudio. S. stramineum crece principalmente en turberas de las areas montanosas de la mitad norte de la Peninsula Iberica y Sierra Nevada. C. cordifolium queda restringida a turberas y prados humedos de la alta montana del tercio norte de la Peninsula Iberica (Pirineos, Cordillera Cantabrica y noroeste del Sistema Iberico), mientras que quedan excluidas de su area de distribucion las localidades del Sistema Central citadas previamente en la bibliografia. C. giganteum se ha recolectado unicamente en turberas de la Region Eurosiberiana, en una unica localidad en Pirineos y en cuatro mas en la Cordillera Cantabrica. Se proporciona clave, descripciones, ilustraciones, fotografias de SEM y mapas de distribucion para tas especies de Straminergon y Calliergon en la Peninsula Iberica.
