Abstract
In article the social structure of civil society of Canada founded on ethnically diverse groups of the population is considered. The term, multiculturalism is described, defining it, as the principle and practice of the cultural diversity encouraged by the state on the basis of democratic and constitutional standards. Especially sharply in recent years there was a question of the extending Muslim community of Canada. The Canadian cultural diversity really represents courageous, though not without known risks social experiment. According to the UN Canada is the safe country where civil society is protected from domination of separate ethnoses by flexible system of the federal device and compromise policy of the provincial authorities which recognize a priority of the federal legislation.
