Abstract
如果要整理美国印第安纳州布卢明顿的独立音乐版图，有两个都成立于1996年的厂牌必然无法忽视：由Darius Van Arman一手创立的Jagjaguwar，以及由Swanson兄弟等人联合成立的Secretly Canadian，两支厂牌旗下都有一批极具代表特色的乐队、艺人。到了1999年，Jagjaguwar并入Secretly Canadian，但依然保持着独立厂牌名号。 时光流转，2007年Phil Wa ldorf离开管理尽十年的Misra Records，携手Jagjaguwar与Secretly Canadian合作衍生出子厂牌，取名“死海”（Dead Oceans）。这么一个死寂的名字更像是一种自嘲，相较于日新月异的互联网信息爆炸时代，Dead Oceans的发展步伐相对沉缓，甚至可以说是毫无变化。
