Internationalisation de la sociologie ou résurgence des sociologies nationales?

Abstract
La sociologie connaît un double mouvement qui marque à la fois les pôles de son développement et les paliers de sa production. L'internationalisation de ses activités et le renforcement d'organismes internationaux tels l'UNESCO qui a créé une sous-division des sciences sociales constituent un aspect de ce mouvement alors que l'autre se rattache davantage à la consolidation des assises nationales de cette discipline dans plusieurs pays comme ceux d'Afrique notamment. Quelles sont les orientations du premier et la signification du second? Tels sont les sujets dont nous discutons dans cet article. Puis nous terminons par la présentation de deux cas, la sociologie en Espagne et en Italie afin de démontrer que l'histoire de cette discipline ne peut se concevoir en dehors de l'histoire économique et politique des pays où elle s'est principalement développée, même si parallèlement son discours théorique et ses outils méthodologiques tendent à l'unification, ce qui pour nous n'est pas synonyme d'universalisation et est tout à fait souhaitable.
