Abstract
En varias ocasiones, el poeta y dramaturgo argentino Cesar Tiempo (1906-1980; nacido Israel Zeitlin en Ucrania), que poseia un talento mimetico extraordinario, asumio estilos linguisticos y temas ajenos, hasta el punto de abandonar el concepto de una expresion poetica propia. Esta propension a perder su identidad como poeta se hace evidente en bs textos en que Tiempo genera un discurso profetico en el siglo XX. En este articulo se examinan las traducciones modificadas que fueron realizadas por Tiempo de dos textos de poetas neoprofeticos (Sergei Eseniny Jaim Najman Bialik)y dos textos de Tiempo que incluyen pasajesprofeticos basados en la imitacion, con muy distintos propositos, de la obra de otros escritores (Bialik y Gustavo Adolfo MartinezZuviria).
