Abstract
As another year comes to its close, there are many achievements and activities to look back on as highlights of the work of our College. At our annual Board and general meetings, held during Family Medicine Forum 2006 in Quebec city last month, we had the opportunity to review many of these. The results are captured in our 2005–2006 Report Card, which aligns the past 2 years’ activities with our established strategic priorities. (This Report Card is available from http://www.cfpc.ca.) The Board has also approved a new 5-year Strategic Plan for 2007-2011. This includes our mission statement, goals, and strategic priorities, which are outlined below. The priorities for which the Board expects the most progress over the next 2 years are marked with asterisks (*). The others, while equally important, will require ongoing work and somewhat longer time lines to achieve.
