Abstract

Resolutions of the Seventy-Seventh Annual Meeting Tucson, Arizona Bob Richardson, Paul Starrs, Nancy Wilkinson, and Bill Crowley, Chair Whereas, the School of Geography and Development, the Institute of the Environment, and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona have hosted this 77th meeting of the APCG with a sense of grace, warmth, and attentiveness, and Whereas, we have all received the rewards of their skillful efforts at organization and superb planning, enabling us to push forward to a higher intellectual and professional plane, and Whereas, we want to particularly note the contributions of overall Meeting Czar Chris Lukinbeal and his chief lieutenants, Tina Kennedy, David Plane, and Greg Barron-Gafford, plus the invaluable support of the dean and other members of the university administration, augmented by various staff members and a number of outstanding student workers from the Southern Arizona Geographers Association and the Geography Club, and Whereas, we are all grateful to the University of Arizona for providing a “Weapons-Free Zone,” despite the inclinations of the area’s famous Sheriff Joe, and Whereas, despite this awesome academy of organizational organization, nonetheless we regret that the image of integrity built by successive iterations of YOUR Resolutions Committee demands that we bring to your attention certain instances of inexplicable, questionable, and, dare we say, semi-salubrious occurrences, made known to us through our veritable horde of informers, equipped with all the instrumentation available from the Google Empire that helps to make unsecret all that you do, to wit, and Whereas, at the Opening Session our University of Arizona Geographic Hosts set a new APCG record for amount of time welcoming us to this site, since every level of the University’s organizational structure has at least one geographer included and they each insisted on making us know how welcome we were, a process that covered a mere three hours and forty-five minutes, and Whereas, our host Meeting Czar, Chris Lukinbeal, who had recently purchased stock in a ticket printing company, increased the profits of said company overnight by making sure everybody’s badge holder was stuffed with at least forty-seven tickets of many colors, leading to folks now addressing him as “Rainbow” Lukinbeal, and [End Page 96] Whereas in the Opening Session, Joseph Wilder tried repeatedly to sell us on the idea of what he felt were wonderful public spaces, yet no human being was ever sighted in any of those slides, and Whereas on Accordion Night, we remain indebted to the incomparable Professor Steve Yool’s impressive array of Squeeze Box Harmonies, though many felt deprived by the fact that he failed to play the Lichtenstein Polka, and Whereas, some of our members have trouble remembering their academic assignments with past President Jenny Zorn, in a session she chaired, having identified herself properly as a Lumberjill at Humboldt State University, but during her talk offering a slide that indicated she was at Cal State San Bernardino, a difficult dual presence, even for one of her talents, and Whereas, this year’s hosts finally confirmed that North Dakota really is unnecessary, making sure that no one on this year’s program purported to be from Fracklandia, and Whereas, our august president, Sriram Khé, informed the hosts that he would not be making his presidential address unless they put at least three pictures of him in the meeting program, setting a new record in officer image representation, and Whereas, our perennial treasurer, Robert Richardson, was earlier seen wearing a shirt (and I do not lie here) with lettering saying “I love embezzlement—a family tradition,” he was asked not to come to the banquet, but…here he is, and Whereas, in an attempt by our hosts to convince us that it’s really not all that hot in Tucson, they arranged near-Inuit-level temperature conditions in some of the presentation parlors, good business for the nearby CVS store, which had thermal underwear on sale, and Whereas, Bryant Evans of Houston Community College introduced us all to a new subdiscipline in our field in his paper, “Wash...

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
