Abstract
Las tendencias geopoliticas apuntan a la fragmentacion de los Estados-Nacion, la conformacion de grandes espacios economicos regionales y la formacion de extensas zonas marginales. El crecimiento de las desigualdades, los conflictos, la discriminacion, los desastres medioambientales y las crisis economicas severas provocan que un tres por ciento de la poblacion mundial viva fuera de sus paises de nacimiento, haciendo de las migraciones uno de los grandes problemas del siglo XXI. Asia, Africa y America Latina son los continentes que conforman el mapa geopolitico de origen de las migraciones que se dirigen hacia la Union Europea, Estados Unidos, Canada y Australia en busca del sueno occidental.
