Los sistemas provisionales de proteccion de borde (SPPB) son un medio eficaz para prevenir el riesgo de caida en altura. Las normas establecen los requisitos geometricos y mecanicos que deben superar los SPPB para poder ser utilizados en obras de construccion. El objetivo de este trabajo es comparar distintos reglamentos internacionales relativos a SPPB y obtener analiticamente las soluciones que se obtendrian como SPPB utilizando esos reglamentos. Para ello se han utilizado reglamentos de USA, Europa, Australia y Canada. Se han comparado las exigencias indicadas por estos reglamentos y se han obtenido las dimensiones de SPPB utilizando los mismos. Los resultados muestran una diferencia significativa entre las soluciones obtenidas.
