Abstract
Cet article s’intéresse à l’opérationnalisation d’une approche conceptuelle de la médiation, définie comme « lieu de relationnalité ». En se questionnant théoriquement sur « ce qui fait être » et non sur « ce qui est », cette perspective impose de conserver, jusque dans les analyses, le caractère profondément actif de cette mise en relation et de ce qui en émerge. Le défi est alors de trouver les outils méthodologiques qui permettent de retracer ces médiations tout en leur conservant la fluidité et la mouvance qui les caractérisent. Dans le cadre d’une recherche en cours sur une ethnographie des pratiques technologiques de communication de jeunes montréalais, nous discutons des instruments que nous avons développés, en prise directe avec le terrain, à partir de cette conceptualisation. Puis nous montrons quelques médiations à l’œuvre issues de nos premières analyses. Pour terminer, nous abordons certains éléments éthiques que cette recherche soulève.
