Abstract
L'approche pluridisciplinaire que permet la petite communauté comme cadre de recherche rend possible le dépassement des résultats explicites de l'analyse d'un questionnaire à réponses fermées et des contradictions qu'ils expriment. C'est ainsi que l'observation participante, les interviews en profondeur et les entrevues informelles conjointes, révèlent dans la petite communauté étudiée la force d'un traditionalisme politique viscéral masqué par des déclarations explicites souvent modernistes. Dans un tel contexte, une parenté culturelle frappante entre la population et ses leaders, d'une part estompe les effets d'une domination traditionnelle coercitive, d'autre part désamorce le dynamisme de leaderships qui se croient progressistes ou révolutionnaires.
