Abstract
El artículo describe la historia del barrio Antioquia (Medellín) a partir L de los recuerdos y testimonios de sus habitantes y a la luz de las transformaciones históricas de Medellín y Colombia en los últimos setenta años. Se propone una lectura relacional y localizada del transcurrir histórico para enfatizar que los procesos que tienen lugar localmente, en este caso en el ámbito barrial, hacen parte y dan cuente. de procesos regionales y globales más amplios. El diálogo histórico se construye desde una pregunta acerca de las identidades culturales en ámbitos atravesados por múltiples violencias. Se examinan los modos en que las identidades culturales se construyen y transforman a partir de la experiencia vivida del lugar barrial, desde las memorias individuales y colectivas y en relación con propuestas culturales, formas de poder y procesos macro sociales.
