Abstract
Schumpeter invente l’entrepreneur pour conceptualiser l’acte d’innovation dont le modèle de l’économie pure de Walras est incapable de rendre compte. Ce faisant, il se rapproche de Marx. Dans cet article, nous proposons de revenir sur les deux économistes nodaux, Walras et Marx, qui ont en quelque sorte balisé l’œuvre de Schumpeter. Admiratif de l’œuvre de l’un et de l’autre, celui-ci a entrepris à les dépasser. Est-il vraiment parvenu à le faire ? L’entrepreneur, d’une part, dans l’œuvre de Schumpeter reste une entité abstraite, alors qu’il avait pour ambition de pallier à l’abstraction walrasienne. De l’autre côté, il ne peut que constater la bureaucratisation, via la concentration, de la production capitaliste qui devient la norme du capitalisme managérial.
