Abstract
Ce travail présente quelques considérations sur les idées et les valeurs de la restauration, ses connexions avec la muséologie, abordées par l’analyse des œuvres produites par des personnes diagnostiquées comme malades mentaux. Les problèmes posés par la conservation de ces objets, désignés comme « hors normes », furent les précurseurs de ceux rencontrés dans l’art contemporain. Nous aborderons l’exemple de restauration d’un fonds de ce genre dans un musée brésilien.
