Abstract
Digital IIR filters obtained from analog filters and realized with the z operator, delta operator, /spl epsiv/=z-1/T where T is the sampling period, and with the /spl omega/'=2 z-1/T z+1, z'=z-1 z/spl tilde/=z-1/Tz operators are compared under the effect of quantization of transfer function coefficients. It is shown that filter realizations in /spl epsiv/, /spl omega/' or z/spl tilde/ provide superior performance than z or z' with fixed- and floating-point processors.
