Canada es conocido por su politica de multiculturalidad asi como por las condiciones de calidad de vida que resaltan en sus ciudades. El objetivo de esta investigacion ha sido reconocer los aspectos relevantes en el desarrollo de la vivienda de interes social en Canada y evaluar proyectos significativos arquitectonicamente. La investigacion documental y descriptiva, junto al estudio perceptivo morfo-espacial en sitio, resulto en la documentacion y descripcion de proyectos de viviendas de interes social, ejemplos de la sintesis arquitectonica de politicas publicas dirigidas a dar respuestas al problema de vivienda de interes social. Se concluye que para garantizar la calidad de vida es importante incorporar conceptos y criterios de integracion arquitectonica espacial y funcional propiciando la inclusion social, contribuyendo asi al desarrollo sostenible y la integracion multicultural. Se destaca el interesante concepto de mezcla de tipologias de vivienda como estrategia de inclusion social y la planificacion de proyectos basados en las nece sidades especiales de los diversos grupos sociales.
